2nd Theater Strategic Signal Brigade welcomes new leader

MAINZ-KASTEL, Germany (June 22, 2012) – The reins of the 2nd Theater Strategic Signal Brigade were entrusted to a new leader at a change of command ceremony held on the soccer field at the Mainz-Kastel Station.
Family, friends, guests and members of the “Brigade of Excellence” as well as 5th Signal Command members welcomed incoming commander Col. Jimmy L. Hall who accepted the brigade colors from 5th Signal Commander Col. (P) Bruce T. Crawford.
Outgoing commander Col. Mitchell L. Kilgo served 23 months at the helm of 2nd and will assume duties as the Executive Officer to the AFRICOM Commander, General Carter Ham, in Stuttgart. He departs with his wife and three children.
Hall comes to 2nd Signal with his wife and two children after serving as the Chief, Network Division, G-3/5/7 LandWarNet Directorate, Pentagon, Washington D.C.
2nd TTSB, headquartered on Clay Barracks in Wiesbaden, Germany services over 30,000 customers Europe-wide by providing strategic, enterprise and joint communications.
